AMERICAN SHORT FILM ARCHIVED PROJECTS |
Some films are meant for greatness. Then there was a documentary called "American Movie". It showed that the greatness can be found in the effort, if not in the product.
"American Short Film" is about another Ed Wood wanna-be struggling to make a film, while living 2400 miles from LA. No luncheon meetings. No agents working to sell your script. No studio heads calling you on the phone. This is real guerilla filmmaking. The film is a comedy meant to be a warning sign for those who would dare to tread the treacherous ground of filmmaking. Lord help those who are of the mind that it is easy to bring a story to the screen. Filmmaking is about baring your soul to the world and letting them stomp all over it. You have been warned. ** Tied for Third in the Short Subjects Competition at the CMIFF ** For more information on "American Movie", check out www.americanmovie.com. Running Time: 14 minutes 30 seconds |

"It's supposed to be hard! If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it great!" |
